[Travel] Mabul Island Trip

$

Ohai! So recently (okay la end of December 2014 still consider recent la) I went for a short getaway in Semporna, Mabul Island.
Superrrrb gorgeous place. Please go there please.

Gonna tell you guys how to plan for one! :D

A brief idea of the whole geographic location:
The town in Sabah mainland: Semporna
Island around: Mabul, Sipadan, Pompom etc.
Airport: Tawau

Credits to Google Image

To get there, you first need to get a flight to Tawau, Sabah. And then take a ride to Semporna town, which is around 1 hour and cost around RM90 for taxi. We took a van ride straight to our hotel in Semporna since a man come approach us #dumbtouristalert, but we paid RM80 for 4 person la so at least cheaper than a cab yo. #nomorealert

Semporna is a really really small town by the seaside, so basically there's nothing much to do there especially for us Malaysian. But yes you can stroll around in the town and get some local food la. Seafood is so cheap there btw.

This is the tourist centre of Semporna, which each individual house is different agencies that provides ride and tour package to the islands. Walk around and compare the prices to get the best deal! Also, ask properly what is included what is not to avoid being conned or something, cause basically when you reach the islands its all monopolized and you will have to listen to them already.

We took a tour with Uncle Chang, which is recommended by dearie's parent's friend. The price is RM180 per pax a night after negotiation, inclusive of 2 chalets, return boat ride, and 3 meals. Meals provided are simple dishes, not super luxury food la but its okay.

We spent a night in Semporna itself for some friends visiting, but I do recommend you guys to go straight to the island if you don't want to end up in dead boredom lol.

Speed boat ride to Mabul Island, around 45 minutes.

We all so god damn awed by the bright blue sea! So clear so blue just like in the movies weh! I really never expected Malaysia to have such beautiful sea (thanks to Port Dickson and Sepang), so throughout the whole journey I kinda feel like I am somewhere in Hawaii.

Our resort.
This is the lobby deck, where everyone can chill, play some mini games and this is where the meals are served too. I quite like the idea of a lobby deck, cause this is where you can have a chance to sit around and feel like a tourist lol instead of just hiding in the room,

Oh btw, electricity is only provided between 4.30pm to 7am for Uncle Chang resort, so I really recommend you to just stay in the lobby if you want cooling breeze hahaha. Or just walk around in the island la although the sun is quite hot. Since you came already, what for hide in the room right?

Okay speaking about the room, this is it.

We got a chalet, which fits 2.

Double bed, private bathroom, fan, aircond,
All your basic need got la.

Pooh to cover up cause dearie snap this when I am stuffing my bikini =.=

The Bathroom

I am quite disgusted by the rusted door handle la =.=
Must be by the humid seabreeze I guess.

Shower area.
Mana showerhead?
Nah.
Btw ah, water that are provided to wash up are all processed sea-water, so yup you gonna shower with salty water. But no sticky feeling after that surprisingly.

I used bottled water to brush teeth and wash my face, cause I feel that those are more clean lol. If you are princess enough you can buy bottled water to shower also la. There's some local grocery stores in the island that sells everything.

We even have this cute set of chairs with coffee table (although no coffee lol) infront of our chalet

This is like the best part la, the view from our room.

Damn zen so I spent whole morning and afternoon trying to think about life but ended up sleepy so I went into bed again lol. #useless

Side view of the chalet.
See that bench section? Okay that's a very very good spot to chit chat and enjoy the breeze in the afternoon.

Hammock area

Diving and Snorkeling sessions by the resort. Snorkeling session is free but the rental of the flipper is RM12 or RM20 I forgot already. So you can follow their boat and they will bring you to the snorkeling spot la.

If you haven't know, Sipadan (another island) is one of the TOP 5 diving spot in the world. So if you want to have dream like diving experience, its a MUST to go. But you need to have diving license and it is not cheap to dive there (around 1k if not mistaken), plus you can't stay overnight at Sipadan due to their policy to protect the nature.

Stroll around the island

I must say that it is kind of easy to get lost among the water village la cause everywhere seems the same to me. But fred not, the kind locals will direct you back to your resort cause I think they met too much dumb lost visitors lololol.

Went to the beach in the evening when the sun is less burning.

And then rushed back to the lobby deck for the sunset.

Candid shot by dearie when I went into still mode staring at the sunset

Next morning.
Woke up staring at this.

While we are enjoying our breakfast, this men came in his boat and selling us these fresh crabs.

Damn pretty blue crabs!
Dont' know what their actual name is but confirm can eat one lol

Bought em at the price of RM80.
DAMN CHEAP.

Highly recommend that you guys to buy some before coming back to mainland, and then you can cook em straight ngehehehe.

Went straight to this restaurant after we got back to Semporna, and pass them the fresh crab to turn into awesome meal for us!

Tada~~~
They just steamed the crabs to fully appreciate the freshness of the crab.
Super duper sweet I tell you the meat.

Forgot the price for the full meal, but it was dang cheap I 100% confirm. RM18 to cook a crab dish, so we have 2 crab dish it is like RM36, can't even get one single crab in KL weh =.= Okay we bought the crab ourselves so its RM80+36= RM116 for ELEVEN crabs, can probably get 2 crabs in KL lol.

So that's pretty much about it, ending the post with an island must do- Bikini Shot.

Don't hesitate to ask me anything if you are interested to have a short vacay in Mabul! :D

Enjoy your dessert without tooth aching!

Beep beep! Health check time!
Answer the following questions:
Can you bite into your ice-cream properly?
Can you enjoy your hot soup without aching tooth?
Can you chew your ice-kacang confidently?

If not, that means you are having sensitive tooth issue! (Erm I mean if you haven't know)

Oh well, those are just some of the indications, if you are not really sure about whether you are suffering from sensitive tooth, you can check about it at some of Malaysian's favourite dessert store!

Wait what?

Okay now I got your attention. I mean, Sensodyne is running their new campaign: "Tiada Ngilu, Hidup Ceria". And how this campaign work is basically the roving team will drop by to these partnering food stores, and do a FREE tooth sensitivity test for you.

Who are the partners? Chatime, Teochew Cendol.

Very easy to find la okay. Oh, they will also give you a free sample set of Sensodyne toothpaste!

This campaign is an expansion of last year’s similar campaign which is aimed to address one of the most worrying oral health issues in Malaysia. According to a study by Ipsos on Oral Care Usage and Attitude, 87% of Malaysians are aware of their conditions of sensitive teeth but only one third use sensitive toothpaste to combat their condition. Through this campaign, Sensodyne hopes to encourage consumers to start taking control of their daily lives by not letting sensitive teeth stopping themfrom enjoying our favourite food!

As a typical Malaysian who find  happiness from eating, I find it very important to solve sensitive tooth. Cause it's really potong steam la if you cannot enjoy your dessert properly! And it is not super tough to settle this issue, just brush your teeth with proper toothpaste only ma! (Unless you have hypersensitive tooth then its different issue :(

So if you are interested to join Sensodyne's Chill Festival to check your teeth and win some awesome prizes, just check out their official site and click on the food map to know the roving team's schedule.

Or if you happen to bump into them when you are enjoying your dessert, just take the test la since it's free, and we are Malaysian who loves our free stuffs lol.

Or else, you can check out Sensodyne’s online tooth sensitivity check at http://www.sensodyne.com.my/tooth-sensitivity-check.aspx and find out if you have sensitive teeth within minutes!

Some picture during the launching event:

A launch that serves the most amount of dessert I have ever attended lol

Took picture of the display set cause the real ones are all melting heh

This Juice looks damn good so me and Jess very kiasu each took 2 bottles to try out.
#firstworldbloggersproblem

And turn out I love the Almond Milk!
(Not to mention that I usually hate almond)

The dress code is Blue and White, so I thought ‘Aiya got white can already la’ and I love my outer cardigan too much to not wear it. And whoa everyone actually following the dress code tightly so I am slightly paiseh.

Oh! Sensodyne is also partnering with Chatime in this campaign through the ‘Unfreeze Coolest Drink’ contest. All you need to do is vote for your preferred Chatime drink here: https://sensodyne.com.my/tiadangilu/ and each participant will receive a 20% voucher to enjoy the most voted drink!

Yes, the mandatory selfie ending.

MyFM Be My Star DJ Search (Part 1)

Ohai!

Okay yea I'm gonna say sorry for not being able to update for such a long time again. (And gonna say how busy I am again blah blah blah)

But I AM really really busy!

For those who listens to MyFM, you might have noticed that I've joined their recent DJ search (just might have cause my name is 彤彤 in the competition lololol)

If you never heard about it, okayy now I'm gonna explain to you!

MyFM Be My Star DJ Search is basically like the HitzFM announcer search, just bigger scale, and language used is Cantonese and Mandarin. And they are looking for a person who's not JUST an announcer, but with star power. (Means you have to be able to act, sing, dance and behave like a star la)

I was lucky enough to be chosen as the Top 16 from 600 other contestants, and survived until now as the Top 12! And now I am facing the final challenge before proceeding to the grand finale which will happen on the 25th April!

My latest challenges: Video hosting and Podcast

I am asked to produce a 1 minute video featuring an assigned shop in KWC fashion mall, and the content need to be as creative as possible, plus the video need to go viral. (I was like #whatchutalkingbout cause no one can really predict what will go viral in this weird online environment) Hardest part of this challenge, I only have 10 minute to record the video, and no additional editing (effects etc) will be done! *JengJengJeng*

So I took a very different approach from the other contestant. As a baby YouTuber, I know that people will click on the X button once they realize its an ad, so I go for a comedy skit instead! Well it's not traditional host host la, but I thought as long as I get the message out it works right? :3

My first ever Podcast! Talked about 5 types of posts that irritates people the most on Facebook. See, #ifeelyou. I know it doesn't sound as active in the front part, but it does get better in the end haha. Cause I focused too much on controlling my pitch at first and I was kinda stressed for my first ever proper recording. But I am pretty sure when my occupation is a DJ I will be much more comfortable eventually!

(PS: Please help me to share out my Comedy Skit as much as possible cause viewcounts weighed 20% in this challenge!)

And here are the clips of my previous challenges:

Challenge 1: Debate
Surprisingly I was rated as the best by the judges! Although I was a national debater back in high school, but I quit in Form 5, and that means 5 years away from debate but the skills are still with me lol. Okay la seriously, totally cannot compare with my old skills weh last time much better.

Challenge 2: On-ground hosting! (Something like hitz cruiser la)
I sounded damn loud lol. Held the mic too close man.

So how? Support me anot? :3

Ever since this competition started, my days are cray cray. Cause I am now a final sem student, with tons of reports and events to work on, plus fighting hard to achieve my dream to be a DJ. 24 hours a day is really not enough for me, plus the nerves involved in this competition is indescribable. So I really really need all your positive energies to keep myself going!

Easiest thing to do? Share my Comedy Skit out! And come support me in the finale! (If I can make it lol damn nervous seriously)

Look ma, I'm Baking! Dell InnoLifeStyle Bloggers Boot Camp

I never imagined myself to end up in such a mess while attending an event.

Baki's expression tells it all

I was told that this is an event to introduce the new Dell Inspiron 23 7000 series, so I thought it was just like any other launching event, I just need to be there, take some pictures and poof, go home light and easy.
#teamdoubletrouble
Hahaha imagine me and MJ's face when we know that we actually need to bake. Two kitchen idiots gonna bake together as a team. *face palm*

Before I show you all the messes we made, lets understand how on earth a computer launch will turn into a baking session.
The New Dell Inspiron 20 3000 series

This is the star of the day. I know, it kinda look like a LCD TV. So I was kinda confused at first sight.

And I was awed.

It can be controlled without touching the screen! ZOMG just like how Ironman do his job!!

How does this work?
The Intel® RealSenseTM 3D Camera Front F200.

The Intel® App Showcase provides access to a library of apps you can download to take advantage of the Intel® RealSenseTM 3D Camera – experience 3D scanning and printing, gesture control and immersive gaming enabled with depth sensing.

Surprisingly, Dell Inspiron 20 3000 series also have similar function without Intel Real Sense! We can run Hands Free mode when accessing Food & Drinks Apps in Dell Inspiron 20 3000 series! But you will still need to touch screen when accessing other apps. This particular Hands Free mode is only applicable for Food & Drinks Apps while you are cooking/baking! :)

So that's why we bake in a tech launch. To experience how it works work!

I believe you guys are like me, we google everything. LITERALLY everything.

So when it comes to situations with dirty hands, there goes our farewell to clean phone screen.

But no yo, no mess on the screen with the help of handsfree mode! Also with the aid of multi panel screen function, we can read the  recipe, and even Skype call the chef for help at the same time!

But got messy table la. So messy.

We are required to bake Banana Muffins and Butter Cookies in like, 45 minutes. *JengJengJeng*

Trying to figure out what's wrong with our mixture

Obviously, we are like the double trouble team that day. Everything just doesn't seems right. Wet and lumpy muffin mixtures, wrong procedure mixing the cookie dough, blah blah blah..

And here's the outcome. Surprisingly they actually look like cookies and muffin. I thought they are going to look like baby aliens.

MJ trying real hard to sell our baby aliens to the judges, and me resting at the side, still trying to digest the fact that I actually baked in an event.

And we have a final pitching session after the hectic baking. We are supposed to come out with creative ways to incorporate the new Dell Inspiron 23 3000 series.
Sorry guys, I have a rather hyperactive teammate.

And yay, everyone can go home and rest! Group picture first okay.

The new Dell Inspiron 23 7000 and Inspiron 20 3000 series are now available in the market, do check out Dell official website for more info!

Overall, I do think it is a rather interesting product to have for tech junkies and couch potatoes who are lazy to move their asses (so you can control the All-In-One without moving your buttbutt yo)

{MyFM Be My Star DJ} I am now a DJ

Yup.

"I am now a Radio DJ for My FM."

Still repeating this to myself randomly cause everything is so surreal.

Honestly, I have NEVER imagined myself to be a radio announcer. Cause I don't think I have a very attractive voice, and I can't imagine myself talking alone in the studio.

But hey, life is seriously filled with surprises!

I previously wrote a short post about this competition, but I didn't explain how and why did I joined.

So now, story time!

"I joined because my best friend asked me to."

I know right, this is like the lamest answer in the world. But seriously, this is the real story. My childhood best friend, Kevin asked me to send in an audition clip together with him cause he is too scared to do it alone. At first, I rejected cause I thought why do something I don't think I can win, but later on I came to a thought:

"Okay, just try it out and see how's my mandarin level after so many years leaving Chinese school.'

I am actually very curious to see how far I can go, and I also thought that why not just get some free training lololol #freethingwhynot

I must admit that I am not a freshie in terms of speaking in public. I was a national mandarin debater back in high school, and our school (Tsun Jin High School) is ahem, quite famous for our debate team. #tsunjinftw

So yeah, it seems like my debate trainings really worked!

I worked the hardest way I can and shown my best effort throughout the competition.
Some clips of the Finale:

Pictures Time!

Round 1- Creative introduction
I incorporated my not-too-bad voice imitation skill (SinChan, Chibi Maruko and Ah Beng) into my performance, along side with my DEAREST sifu, Jason. You can see how kesian his face is cause he need to hold the cardboards for me hahaha. And he actually carried me onto the stage (like how people carry mannequin) as our opening.

Round 2- Artist Interview
Me and my lovely partner, Jacky got our task to interview a 'Thai Artist' acted by the super cray cray Jack Yap.

Dramatic sifu and his dramatic student.

First round elimination

Don't have much other pictures after this, so lets just skip to the final result announcement!

Yup, can totally see how shocked I am when I found out the result!
There goes my reputation.
Nooooo guys don't unfollow me T.T

Back to pretty face.
(So can follow me back already right hahaha)

Oh by the way, the male champion is Phei Yong, and he will be my training and working partner yo!

So yeah. I am now a radio announcer.

Lots of you has been asking me about when will I have my own radio show and what's my time slot, and I am truly thrilled by all your concerns! (means that you guys actually follow up about my news whoa damn touched)

For now, me and PY will be partnering with the other DJs to gain some experience and familiarise ourselves with the machines, while going under some trainings. Cause honestly speaking, if you throw us into a studio and ask us to go on air now, we will... erm I don't know, screw up quite badly cause being a radio DJ is so much more than just talking. We will be prepared as soon as possible, and then I can announce when will my radio show be!

The first thing I got to do for my new career, opened a new FB page with MYFM's name before mine. A page as a MYFM announcer, MYFM彤彤.  So come come like like pwease :3

And and and, will I be quiting YouTube? NOPE.

I will still be producing YouTube videos, as it is also what I really really enjoy doing! Me and MJ recently created a collaboration channel- Dumpling Soda, which will be doing lotsa funny skits and challenges video!

Check out our first video!

We have much more cray to come soon!
Do SUBSCRIBE if you want more insanity in your life! :3

[Beauty] Trust me, your skin is friggin thirsty.

So recently I did something to my face.

Whaaaaaaat?
READ and you will know.

I am always very very very grateful that my skin condition is quite great. Thanks mom and dad <3
But I do have some minor issue with dull skin, and mini oil bumps around my cheek & nose area.

I can't find a before picture of it cause who takes such a close up picture of their own pores for nothing lol. But nvm lets continue.

I tried out Hydra Quench by Clinic MF

Apatu?

Okay basically it is a hydrating treatment, which involve some mini injections. Hyaluronic acid is injected into your skin, with syringe needle that is 6 times thinner than baby needle (which is very very thin la).

I believe that most of you girls who put in some effort taking care of your face heard hyaluronic acid before, but for better understanding sake I hereby explain one more time la.

"Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that exist in our body, and it is the main factor to keep our skin youthful. As age grows, hyaluronic that is naturally existed in our body will loss and hence, wrinkles will appear.

Hyaluronic acid is also a common ingredient of cosmetic products. 1 molecule of HA can carry up to 500 times of water, hence it is recognized as the best hydrating ingredients."

Honestly speaking, I never heard of injecting HA into skin for the sake of hydration until the consultation with Marie France. So I was moderately nervous la when I heard that I need to go under needle, cause initially when I agreed to try out the Hydra Quench I thought it was just a normal hydrating facial treatment that I used to do in beauty salons haha.

Do note that the HA injected into the skin used for Hydra Quench is NOT the same as the ones used for filler injection, filler ones contain other substances for it to stay in shape but this one is for hydration only.

Process: Cleansing → Application of numbing cream → Injection → Soothing Mask
My face after the process.
Some slight bengkak on my eyelid.

Injection is done on many spots on my face, almost 30 spots I guess, some spots are slightly stinging than the others. It doesn't really inject deeeeep into your meat, but just lightly on the skin, so pain level on the scale of 10 I rate it 6. They say it is less painful that extraction but I don't know la cause I never had to do much extraction as my skin don't really have anything to extract except some oil seeds heh.

You can see that there's some mini bumps on my face, those are the HA that haven't been absorbed. It disappeared after a few hours, but I don't find it particularly obvious so I still meetup with my friends right after the session hahaha. #noneedimagela
My face after one week.

Initially I thought there wasn't much obvious effect on my skin, but after one week my mom told me that my face look more radiant and less dull, which makes me look much more energetic cause dull skin always make me look like I took drug or not enough sleep lols. And the oil bumps on my cheek and nose are all gone!

This is my recent face after my vacation to Mabul island, which is a month later after the treatment. Still look good even after under the sun for so many days. Oh, I remember that doctor told me, it is harder for us to get dark if the skin have sufficient HA! Tried it and proven its right! I probably only gain 0.5 tone darker this trip *fireworks* Eh, doesn't mean no need sunscreen ah still must protect kay!

Overall, this treatment does have effect and so far, no complication. Normally HA treatments are really safe as long as the HA used by clinic is certified to be safe. So if you are interested to give it a try, feel free to contact https://www.facebook.com/ClinicMF for a consultation slot, and make sure you clear all your questions before you do any treatment kay? :) I want everyone of you to be happy and safe with my recommendation <3

Lastly, thankiu for taking through all my naked face pictures.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes I know it has been a month since I last posted. *slap my own face*

I kinda took some holiday and vacations around, meet up with friends, and arranging my schedule and plans, brainstorming for my YouTube channel directions and learning from some awesome friends. So in a nutshell, I am setting up myself for a brand new 2015, with new directions and goals that I want to achieve, and I want to showcase a better fresher me to all of you <3

So don't worry, I will be back with more, and just follow me on Instagram for more updates!

[Beauty] Get flawless with INDIBA Stem Cell

$

Went to Bella Skin Care to pamper my skin last week. #taitaiday

My skin doesn't really have big issues, no pimples breakouts, just a little bit dehydrated, and uneven skin tone due to all the cray cray sun exposure from college life and work lol. No joke, I always felt that Taylor's sun is super strong in comparison with the sun at my house in Cheras I don't know why.

After the skin test, I am sent to change into comfy robe and slippers. Btw, bras are recommended to be removed too cause there will be detoxification massage before the treatment. I remember that I was really reluctant to remove my bra for massage sessions, but now I got used to it cause it is really inconvenient to have a bra blocking the masseuse's way when they are trying to massage you. So make their life easier and also give yourself a more relaxing experience la hahaha

Basically, INDIBA Stem Cell Treatment is geared by the INDIBA Machine, alongside with stem cell serum. So nope, no injection involved.

Here are the steps of INDIBA Stem Cell treatment:

1. Detoxification Massage +  Paraffin Wax hand treatment

I love how they detox you first before any other treatment, because I am the kind of person that strongly believes that the condition of skin reflects how clean one's body system is. And I am also surprised by the Paraffin Wax hand treatment. I actually got confused when my therapist asked me to dip my hand into a pool of warm wax, I was like "whoa why nowadays come to do facial will give hand wax mould as souvenir one ah?"

So nope, its not the kind of hand wax you see in tourist place for you to make a mould of your hand.

Paraffin Wax works really well in softening, smoothing and hydrating your skin. So after you soak your hand into the wax, the therapist will wrap up your hand with plastic wrap. I felt like doraemon hahaha.

No pictures was taken cause my hand is wrapped.

2. Deep cleansing + Extraction

Just like how facial treatment normally works. But ouch, this time the extraction really hurts in comparison with my previous facial treatment experiences.

3. Stimulate Limb Knots

The INDIBA machine started its job. A metal board is placed under my back, to initiate connection between my body and the machine (lol I know right), and the therapist started to massage my limb knots around the neck and chin area. The machine generates heat to stimulate the skin, so I do feel slightly warm when the machine run through my body.

4. Epidermis and Dermis treatment
Just the machine started to do its job on your face. I felt some slight burn on forehead and cheek area, so I requested my pretty therapist to turn down the heat. It is normal for our sensitive area to feel extra heat, so if you do happen to feel the same as me, feel free to inform them to adjust the power.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As a whole, I like the experience of INDIBA Stem Cell Treatment. My skin felt more moisturised and glowy after the treatment, all the previous oil bumps are cleared out.

[Foodie Book] Paradise Dynasty 樂天皇朝 Review

$

Yes, it has been months since I last updated.

So lets warm up with some short and random posts before all the upcoming ones!

What's better than a random food review?

Okay start.

Paradise Dynasty can easily be found in malls, but I have never stepped into one I don't know why.

So I have decided to step into one last Sunday.

I went in with a mindset that it is basically another Chinese restaurant like Ding Tai Fung, but okay, it is actually a more atas version of Ding Tai Fung (what kind of description is this zomg)

Paradise Dynasty is well-known for their colourful xiao long pao, which features 8 different flavours of xiao long pao.

Red: Spicy SzeChuan
Green: Ginseng
Brown: Foie Gras
Black: Truffles
Light Yellow: Cheese
Orange: Crab Roe
Dark Brown: Garlic
White: Original

Taste wise, I really like the Spicy Sze Chuan and Ginseng xiao long pao, I think I will just order these 2 flavours next time and eat all I want :3 (yes they are available in ala carte!)

Sizzling Tofu

Simplest dish is always the hardest to cook. And this Paradise Dynasty has proven their awesomeness through this tofu. For reals. The tofu is lightly fried to golden, soft in the centre, and the fragrant of bell pepper really compliments this dish. Not to mention that I usually hate bell peppers.

Sze Chuan Spicy Fish

THIS ONE IS THE BOMB. I actually have my favourite Sze Chuan restaurant, which is in Sunway, but this one is totally comparable (and I actually prefer Paradise Dynasty one over my fav restaurant).  Erm I forgot what kind of fish they used, but the amount of fish slices were quite enough for 2 person,  and in the big bowl they also have a lot of sze chuan thick glass noodle (紅薯粉), which is my favourite kind of noodles :3

You can choose the level of spiciness (low medium high) so no worries!

Okay I rephrase.
You might need to worry a bit if you cannot take spicy food.

He's a bit stoned after the meal but trust me he enjoyed it.

We ordered two bowls of white rice to eat with the fish and tofu, but in the end we can't finish the dishes. Too full man too full.

But the meal was awesome.

Next time I will get more people to eat together so that we can order more!

My Taipei Trip [Part 2 - What's worth our time]

Oh yeah! Finally!
Here comes the part 2 of my Taipei Trip record, after using one week to arrange all the details *phew*

To me, I am not the kind of tourist that MUST visit all the commercial tourist attractions, such as museums, statues etc. Especially when it comes to travelling in Taiwan, I want to really feel what the locals like to eat and like to spend their time at. I never 100% trust the copy-writing on traveling brochure, but I will read between the lines and be careful not to be tricked by fancy words.

These are the spots that I visited in Taipei:

Tamsui - Sanzhi

Okay I purposely traveled all the way down to Tamsui, which is like 30 minutes of MRT ride from Taipei Main Station, and took a bus to Sanzhi (30 minutes bus ride) just to visit this creature.

This is a cafe named OEYA Cafe, which its selling point is their Alpacas. There's a young Alpaca named Snow which walks around in the interior of the cafe, sniffing around and pulling the straps of your seat's cushion lol. Right at the seaside view garden of the cafe, there's four grown Alpacas which is adorably dumb, where you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon with these cute fluffy lamb-camel looking like Alpaca, along with the sea breeze.

Of course, you can also feed them with their favourite snacks! Potatoes strips are for the young Snow, and carrots for the grown ups.

OEYA Cafe have a rule where every customers need to order at least a meal, which is understandable la or else everyone is gonna rush into the cafe for the Alpacas but not paying, and the maintenance fees for the restaurant and their pets are very high. We ordered 2 mains and a dessert set to share.

Seafood Bolognaise

Turkey Ham Cabonara

Dessert Tower Set that comes with 2 fruit tea

The food quality was okay, acceptable la just like any cafe. But the main point is always the Alpacas!

We went to the seaside after the cafe.

These hexagon tiangs remind me of Shaolin Kungfu hahaha.

Damn good view

National Palace Museum

To reach National Palace Museum, you can take MRT to Shilin, and take one of the buses that will stop by museum.

Basically its an antique museum that have a BROAD collection of ancient Chinese artifacts and artworks. It will be a damn interesting place if you are a history fan, but if you're not, you can probably skip this lol. Or just go infront of the museum, snap a picture and proceed to Shilin Night Market XD

Ok my hair is darn messy. Come on, it was drizzling so give me a break lol.

Well I went in the museum. The ticket was NT360, which is not that cheap but considering the effort a museum needed to preserve their collection, it's understandable. No pictures of its interior, as no camera and sling bag is allowed.

The interior of National Palace Museum is very spacious, and it is divided into numerous exhibition halls with different theme. It was very packed when I visited, groups of tourists guided by their tour guide is walking around like sheep, and to be honest I am very impressed by how the tour guide can crap out so many interesting story based on every single item shown. Well to me, all I've seen there is vase, furniture, books, calligraphy. Okay I do understand all those are superb valuable history, but I'm just over flooded by the huge amount of them and eventually I am numb.

Conclusion, I am not stopping you from going there, but be prepared that you are gonna pay to watch a lot of vase, cups, swords, books books books and books.

National Zoo

National zoo is located at Muzha, which can be reached by MRT.

The entrance fee is NT60, very cheap. And the biggest attraction there? The panda family: Tuan Tuan, Yuan Yuan and Yuan Zai. You will get a special ticket stated your visit time for panda viewing, and you can only go in once. Well, it's actually quite packed when we went there, but still comfortable and acceptable la.

Genius dearie didn't take a single picture of the pandas. "Stupid pandas didn't give good angles," he said. *sighs*

Well but, this sun bear got very good showmanship. He was hiding behind the trees but he climb up and sat on the rock to perform some leaves eating for us to take picture when we walk close to his area. Woots I think he recognizes his folks lol. (Sunbear originates from Malaysia)

Oh hi, you're Malaysian too right?

Other than the pandas, well everything else just look like a zoo. Nothing much. I will probably check it out again when their new building project is done at next year. Just probably.

Maokong

Maokong is like a mini version of Cameron Highland, where tea plantation is the main source of living there. To travel to Maokong, the easiest way is to take cable car.

Maokong Gondola Station is just beside National Zoo, or you can also choose to take the gondola in the zoo's station. We went up the cable car from main station as we didn't make it deep enough to the zoo's station lol.

A single trip ticket costs NT50, so a round trip is NT100.

Maokong is famous for their tea plantation and also good scenery. It is definitely a good enjoyment to spend a relaxing afternoon there sipping the high quality tea, while admiring the breathtaking sunset. There's a uphill pavement which will bring you pass a teahouse that serves Oolong Tea Ice-cream.

Tie Guan Yin Tea Ice Cream.
Can really taste the tea lol.

Personally I enjoy myself a lot at the food street right under the uphill pavement. Mostly selling tasty looking street food.
My favourite stall: Black Pork Sausage

*slurppps*

Breathtaking sunset

If you have enough time, you can opt to stay at Maokong for a night to feel the traditional tea culture and the cooling weather.

1914 Creative Park
This creative park was an abandoned factory, refurbished into a cultural centre with multiple exhibition hall. We went there for the One Piece Exhibition.

The ticket was NT320 per person, which is around RM34, so I found it not worthy to go in since I am not a fan of One Piece at all. Dearie went in by himself while me and the gang got ourself some drinks and chill around.
Dearie curi curi take picture in the exhibition, and the camera actually flashed so he cover with his hand quickly hahahahaha.

Apparently the exhibition is super awesome, until dearie almost teared while watching some parts of the story. They showcased hand draft of Eiichiro Oda, his working table, 3D animation of some parts of the comic etc. So I think the 34 bucks is a great investment for One Piece fans la.

Wu Fen Pu
A place dominated by wholesale clothing, mostly young and street style. Surprisingly, I didn't buy anything for myself except a monster shirt for my cat Mimi. Reason? It's not THAT cheap. I probably can get better rates back here in Malaysia or just order directly from Taobao, as according to my observation most of the stock there totally look like Made in China lol.

No harm to go for a walk, you might found something that you really like, but be alert about the price yo!

Rainbow Bridge

So its basically a bridge by riverside, decorated with coloured lights. It is nearby Raohe Night Market, so you can grab some snacks from the night market and then spend some relaxing moments here. There's some live band performance along the walkway, and folks who walk their cute little doggies here.

Taipei 101

The signature building of Taiwan. Erm well its a very tall shopping mall, with all the big brands that probably we have it all here in Malaysia too. The interior of the mall is very classy and spacious, and its kinda heaven for girls who love to shop. But as a tourist spot, I find it normal only la since it is just a shopping mall anyway. The most popular restaurant in Taipei 101 is Ding Tai Feng, where insane long queue will be formed right outside the restaurant. Oh well, come on, its just Ding Tai Feng, we can totally eat it back here in MidValley, Pavillion, or Empire Subang etc.

Overall it is not a very interesting spot to go, but it seems to be the mandatory spot to go and snap some pictures for all tourists la haha. But dearie didn't snap a single picture of it wtf. *sighs*

Beitou

It's all about hot spring went it comes to Beitou. There's A LOT choices of hot spring resort or hotel that you can choose from to enjoy a hotspring session, and you can also choose between private pool and public pool, but please be noted that mostly all the public pool require you to be NAKED *blushes*

Ok la I am super shy to flaunt my body to random people so I chose private pool straight without thinking much. Hotel wise, we stop by this 热海饭店 randomly after walking pass a few other resorts. Well I would love to try out the other more fancy looking ones, but since we stopped so no harm to try out la. Their pricing is very cheap, which is NT600 for a room, which contains a tub, a sofa bed, fresh towels, and mineral water. And oh, there's a time limitation of 2 hours too! (We asked a few resorts before this, and their pricing range is around NT1600++ per room which comes with big bed and better design according to the picture they shown lol.)

Oh, please remember that you should take a break from soaking in the hotspring for every 15 minutes, and do not stay in the hotspring for more than an hour in total, else you gonna faint. Also, do not go for hotspring when you are drunk, empty stomach or right after a meal.

The hotspring in XXX hotel is medium sulphuric, so the colour of the water is slightly milky with some light sulphuric scent. And we mix the hotspring water with cold water to not cook ourself lol. Yea the advantage of having a private pool is you can control the temperature, and of course wear anything you want (or be naked without feeling shy).

Not my feet.

This kind of milky white quality hotspring is named as 美人汤 Beauty Spring as it benefits our skin the best. I actually feel that I have smoother and more radiant skin after the hotspring session :O

After enjoying the hotspring, we walked around in the business areas and got ourself Mois Burger.

I went into the pet shop beside Mois Burger to get some souvenir for my cat Mimi and poodle Bobo, but these folks are just too cute to be ignored!
Curly hair guinea pig wtf

HOMG I want to bring it home so badly!!

Da Dao Cheng

This is a damn random place. Literally we don't know why we went there lol. According to the travel brochure there's a cycling trail, which is true, but that's all about it. Nothing great at all and we didn't see much people there. Its like a random riverside by the highway which cycling trail is built. We didn't see any bicycle renting service too.

No picture at all, cause it's not worth to be visited lol.

Taipei Main Station

What? A train station? Yes, it is. But it is a very interesting one. There's a lot of souvenir shops that sells cute accessories and local treats which are pretty famous.

If you want to get some good Pineapple Tarts and Sun Biscuits, I recommend you to Li Yi Biscuit Shop 李仪饼店 which is very famous among the locals and hongkies. I bought 10 boxes of their biscuit, and I am so regret that I didn't buy more after coming back to Msia. It's too damn good.

Xi Men Ding

I will say Xi Men Ding is really like the best place to be in if you want a happening night. There's lotsa good food, clothing shops, cinema, pubs, hot hunks and hot chics there at Xi Men Ding. Some of the famous food there are like Hotstar Chicken Chop, Ah Zhong Oyster Meesua, MangoChaCha, etc but I do find the street food are amazingly tasty.

Oh the legendary 3 storeys Watsons.
Opening 24 hours so I only go there in the midnight to avoid the crowd.

There's a few cinema in XiMenDing, and the ticket price there is actually pricier than back here in Msia.

I will further introduce about GOOD FOOD I discovered in Taipei in my next post, so stay tuned!

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. I admit that I am such a big piece of lazy lard and I spent most of my time getting back some rest cause I don't know why I felt so lethargic recently *sighs*

Oh well, miss fatty lard decided to wake up and get back to work again!

Lets kick start my new wave of posts with a short update of #chlofit !

White sheer shoulder top | H&M
High Waist Denim | Kitschen
New Balance Inspired Sneakers | Happy2u.cc
Transparent Letter Clutch | Happy2u.cc

As a petite girl, I always have big problems with sheer shoulder tops cause most of them doesn't ONLY show my shoulder, but also my whole bra or at least half of it lol. Thank you H&M for being so considerate and provide a perfect fitting XS size for me muahahaha so now I get to enjoy the sexiness of sheer top. Pairing the top with my all time favourite High Waist Denim that I wear at least 2 times a week, and complement the look with the transparent letter clutch. Transparent material and metal details are trending right now, so if you already have a transparent bag previously, just pop in some of your metal accessories in the bag to make it look fashionable again! The highlight of this outfit is definitely the colourful sneakers, which gives it a lively vibe that suits my summer style!

Woops sun-burned patch *sobs*

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And oh, don't miss out my latest hair colour! Thanks Hikky-san and Junior Shim for the urgent rescue right before my FHM Girl Next Door Finale 2014 Party! I just happen to be very disgusted by my faded, yellowish lala hair so I gave them an urgent call to save my life! Phew and guess what, I got my hair dyed, washed, and styled in an hour! *applause* And thanks Chiakisabata-san for his help too!

Sticking back with ash tones, presenting you"Healthy Ash". Its a grey based ash colour, which makes my skin tone looks less dull, and since it is a darker tone now it makes my hair looks healthier too! (In real life it looks more greyish just my camera decided to make it look pinkish )

Number76 Mont Kiara is having 50% off for hairset service, so do pay them a visit to style you up like a star! Promotion ends on 30th of September.
