Bloggers' Ethic

$
0
0

Finally I decided to post this article that been kept it in my draft box for three months. I've been thinking about whether I should post this up, as I don't wanna cause any problems to myself too. But still, I've decided to post this up, just hoping that some changes can be made.

Sponsorship posts are over-flooding my instagram feed, and I saw lotsa 'bloggers' are posting shit loads of so called PRODUCT REVIEW. I really feel like banging the wall whenever I saw a blog which is full of ads and no matter what product they just keep on telling how good the product is. Like a friggin free cheerleader. (No offense to cheerleader this is just a metaphor)

But the problem is, how many of them really tested out the product and find the product good?

Anyone can accept sponsorship. It is not hard, seriously. Just hold a product, take a selfie and post it on instagram with captions that say how good the product is. But those who don't tell the truth shouldn't be considered as a 'blogger'. I categorize them as "Popular Users" aka The Red People. (Well some of them don't even have enough followers to fit in this category but lets just ignore them for now)

First, let me explain how does blogger and sponsors work together. Normally, sponsors will send a set of their product for bloggers to REVIEW, and depends on the blogger's readership, some fees might or might not be paid to the bloggers. There's nothing bad of being paid by cash or just sponsored items, all are good for the bloggers.

But recommending a bad product is not what a proper blogger should do.

People send you the product for a REVIEW, not to create an advertisement. Review means to tell your readers how do you find the product, the effect, the taste blah blah blah, NO LIMITATION of just to say good things. Of course, by saying good words it is a good deal for both sides (sponsors and bloggers), as sponsors will get increase of sales and blogger have good chance for future collaboration. But not until the extend where you fake it out and cheat on your readers.

I still remember once I attended a food review with some bloggers, and the dishes served are terrible. There was soft shell crab and salmon served, and I spitted the soft shell crab out straight after I took the first bite. It stinks like hell, the soft shell crab is not fresh nor the salmon do. The whole dining time, no one dares to touch these two dishes anymore. But when I got back and read a few bloggers' food review about that night, "The salmon are so fresh""This is like the best soft shell crab I have ever had" blah blah blah. Describe until like the restaurant serves 5 stars hotel food like that.

WTF.

Okay I guess this happened because the host restaurant is very smart. They didn't pay the bloggers who attended, but they set up 2 "Best Blog Entry Award" which is like 500 bucks. So obviously la someone cheated on their readers for the sake of few hundred bucks. What shocked me later is the review organizer, who so called herself as a blogger too, sent an email to me to warn me not to mention any bad thing about the food nor the dodgy location of the restaurant, but instead to highlight the point where the restaurant uses healthy and FRESH materials.

I clicked on the "TRASH" button right after finish reading that crap.

I am not a rich person at all and I do understand the importance of money. But I cherish my readers' trust. I know that I will feel guilty as hell if I lie to my readers, and there goes my blog's credibility and reputation. I always remind myself: "My readers are not Red People's fans, they are not young anymore. They can comprehend and differentiate what is a real recommendation and what is bullshit." That's why I carefully choose my sponsors and I only write for high quality products that I find it worth to be introduced to my readers.

I am not sure about other blogger's reader demographic, but no matter what, cheating is not correct. In my definition, a blog is a new source of news and information. Giving a fake good review for a shitty product doesn't just kill a blogger's credibility, and also help that bad company to gain reputation through consumer's Google result. I am one of the people who Google where to eat what to shop what is trending. But all the fake ads has made me fed up and I don't even want to trust those self-proclaimed blogger's post. I still Google a lot now, but I know who's blog to read, what website to trust. (Oh, and please stop sharing Gigacircle)

I know that this is a world where anyone can call themselves a blogger, simply by creating a blogspot site. And receiving sponsorship to new bloggers are like a medal that can make them feel like a star. But come on, if you want to REALLY be a blogger, please learn the blogger's ethic first. All the famous bloggers on the line at least know how to pick the right product to review and that's why they have better traffic. There's nothing wrong about sponsored post, as long as your review is authentic. And please remember, GOOD COMPANIES and GOOD PRODUCT is not afraid of receiving AUTHENTIC review.

Lets do some mask today.

Mask of the day: Regen 2 Step Synergy Effect Mask (Whitening)

Okay its not a news anymore about my craze on whitening. Nothing to be ashamed about, I am a yellow dark skin chic since I was born so yeah, I am not a Snow White *sobs* And recently a new problem have occurred to my face, where I wakes up with a bloated face due to the late sleeping habit *sighs*

So I am pretty much excited to try out this 2 Step Synergy Whitening Mask developed by Regen Cosmetic, which is brand developed by Regen Medical Group, a well-known plastic surgery hospital in Korea (where Qiuqiu did her surgery last year).

Eh where's the chin part? No worries la, this mask is actually divided into 2 parts, and this is the top part which need to be applied first.

Nah, this is the second part. That two holes are for you to hook on your ears. WHUT?

Okay look, the sticky side of the mask should be stick on your skin.

Like this, hook the holes on each of your ears, to create the lifting effect.

Like an accident patient lol.

The mask have a light and decent fragrance, but not intoxicated. I can feel that the serum can be easily absorbed and for the chin part, its actually very comfortable and there's no sense of choking at all. I actually saw my mum used this kind of mask once, and I laughed at her but this time its my turn.

Even man can use this muahahaha.

Ohlala see my V Chin after the mask!
I am particularly impressed by the outcome, as my skin is more radiant and my chin is obviously less bloated.

I've been seeking high and low for a perfect watch: Classy, elegant, simple, and young and the same time. While most of the watches in the market is either pop young, sport, or mature, I want something that have a balance between them.

Daniel Wellington is the one.

This is the Classy Cambridge model that I deeply fell in love with. I love the versatile and strong Nato strap that brings out a preppy style. Leather strap are never my favourite, as I don't like the sweaty feeling under the strap. The rose gold ring and diamond details are so elegant that the watch is just so irresistible. I can totally bring it to all kind of occasion, and match it with any attire. Be it my favourite Otana look, sexy look, or sporty feel, the Classy Cambridge watch can totally complete the styling.

Such a good deal, Swedish Watch's quality with British accent.

My Taipei Trip [Part 2 - What's worth our time]

$

Oh yeah! Finally!
Here comes the part 2 of my Taipei Trip record, after using one week to arrange all the details *phew*

To me, I am not the kind of tourist that MUST visit all the commercial tourist attractions, such as museums, statues etc. Especially when it comes to travelling in Taiwan, I want to really feel what the locals like to eat and like to spend their time at. I never 100% trust the copy-writing on traveling brochure, but I will read between the lines and be careful not to be tricked by fancy words.

These are the spots that I visited in Taipei:

Tamsui - Sanzhi

Okay I purposely traveled all the way down to Tamsui, which is like 30 minutes of MRT ride from Taipei Main Station, and took a bus to Sanzhi (30 minutes bus ride) just to visit this creature.

This is a cafe named OEYA Cafe, which its selling point is their Alpacas. There's a young Alpaca named Snow which walks around in the interior of the cafe, sniffing around and pulling the straps of your seat's cushion lol. Right at the seaside view garden of the cafe, there's four grown Alpacas which is adorably dumb, where you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon with these cute fluffy lamb-camel looking like Alpaca, along with the sea breeze.

Of course, you can also feed them with their favourite snacks! Potatoes strips are for the young Snow, and carrots for the grown ups.

OEYA Cafe have a rule where every customers need to order at least a meal, which is understandable la or else everyone is gonna rush into the cafe for the Alpacas but not paying, and the maintenance fees for the restaurant and their pets are very high. We ordered 2 mains and a dessert set to share.

Seafood Bolognaise

Turkey Ham Cabonara

Dessert Tower Set that comes with 2 fruit tea

The food quality was okay, acceptable la just like any cafe. But the main point is always the Alpacas!

We went to the seaside after the cafe.

These hexagon tiangs remind me of Shaolin Kungfu hahaha.

Damn good view

National Palace Museum

To reach National Palace Museum, you can take MRT to Shilin, and take one of the buses that will stop by museum.

Basically its an antique museum that have a BROAD collection of ancient Chinese artifacts and artworks. It will be a damn interesting place if you are a history fan, but if you're not, you can probably skip this lol. Or just go infront of the museum, snap a picture and proceed to Shilin Night Market XD

Ok my hair is darn messy. Come on, it was drizzling so give me a break lol.

Well I went in the museum. The ticket was NT360, which is not that cheap but considering the effort a museum needed to preserve their collection, it's understandable. No pictures of its interior, as no camera and sling bag is allowed.

The interior of National Palace Museum is very spacious, and it is divided into numerous exhibition halls with different theme. It was very packed when I visited, groups of tourists guided by their tour guide is walking around like sheep, and to be honest I am very impressed by how the tour guide can crap out so many interesting story based on every single item shown. Well to me, all I've seen there is vase, furniture, books, calligraphy. Okay I do understand all those are superb valuable history, but I'm just over flooded by the huge amount of them and eventually I am numb.

Conclusion, I am not stopping you from going there, but be prepared that you are gonna pay to watch a lot of vase, cups, swords, books books books and books.

National Zoo

National zoo is located at Muzha, which can be reached by MRT.

The entrance fee is NT60, very cheap. And the biggest attraction there? The panda family: Tuan Tuan, Yuan Yuan and Yuan Zai. You will get a special ticket stated your visit time for panda viewing, and you can only go in once. Well, it's actually quite packed when we went there, but still comfortable and acceptable la.

Genius dearie didn't take a single picture of the pandas. "Stupid pandas didn't give good angles," he said. *sighs*

Well but, this sun bear got very good showmanship. He was hiding behind the trees but he climb up and sat on the rock to perform some leaves eating for us to take picture when we walk close to his area. Woots I think he recognizes his folks lol. (Sunbear originates from Malaysia)

Oh hi, you're Malaysian too right?

Other than the pandas, well everything else just look like a zoo. Nothing much. I will probably check it out again when their new building project is done at next year. Just probably.

Maokong

Maokong is like a mini version of Cameron Highland, where tea plantation is the main source of living there. To travel to Maokong, the easiest way is to take cable car.

Maokong Gondola Station is just beside National Zoo, or you can also choose to take the gondola in the zoo's station. We went up the cable car from main station as we didn't make it deep enough to the zoo's station lol.

A single trip ticket costs NT50, so a round trip is NT100.

Maokong is famous for their tea plantation and also good scenery. It is definitely a good enjoyment to spend a relaxing afternoon there sipping the high quality tea, while admiring the breathtaking sunset. There's a uphill pavement which will bring you pass a teahouse that serves Oolong Tea Ice-cream.

Tie Guan Yin Tea Ice Cream.
Can really taste the tea lol.

Personally I enjoy myself a lot at the food street right under the uphill pavement. Mostly selling tasty looking street food.
My favourite stall: Black Pork Sausage

*slurppps*

Breathtaking sunset

If you have enough time, you can opt to stay at Maokong for a night to feel the traditional tea culture and the cooling weather.

1914 Creative Park
This creative park was an abandoned factory, refurbished into a cultural centre with multiple exhibition hall. We went there for the One Piece Exhibition.

The ticket was NT320 per person, which is around RM34, so I found it not worthy to go in since I am not a fan of One Piece at all. Dearie went in by himself while me and the gang got ourself some drinks and chill around.
Dearie curi curi take picture in the exhibition, and the camera actually flashed so he cover with his hand quickly hahahahaha.

Apparently the exhibition is super awesome, until dearie almost teared while watching some parts of the story. They showcased hand draft of Eiichiro Oda, his working table, 3D animation of some parts of the comic etc. So I think the 34 bucks is a great investment for One Piece fans la.

Wu Fen Pu
A place dominated by wholesale clothing, mostly young and street style. Surprisingly, I didn't buy anything for myself except a monster shirt for my cat Mimi. Reason? It's not THAT cheap. I probably can get better rates back here in Malaysia or just order directly from Taobao, as according to my observation most of the stock there totally look like Made in China lol.

No harm to go for a walk, you might found something that you really like, but be alert about the price yo!

Rainbow Bridge

So its basically a bridge by riverside, decorated with coloured lights. It is nearby Raohe Night Market, so you can grab some snacks from the night market and then spend some relaxing moments here. There's some live band performance along the walkway, and folks who walk their cute little doggies here.

Taipei 101

The signature building of Taiwan. Erm well its a very tall shopping mall, with all the big brands that probably we have it all here in Malaysia too. The interior of the mall is very classy and spacious, and its kinda heaven for girls who love to shop. But as a tourist spot, I find it normal only la since it is just a shopping mall anyway. The most popular restaurant in Taipei 101 is Ding Tai Feng, where insane long queue will be formed right outside the restaurant. Oh well, come on, its just Ding Tai Feng, we can totally eat it back here in MidValley, Pavillion, or Empire Subang etc.

Overall it is not a very interesting spot to go, but it seems to be the mandatory spot to go and snap some pictures for all tourists la haha. But dearie didn't snap a single picture of it wtf. *sighs*

Beitou

It's all about hot spring went it comes to Beitou. There's A LOT choices of hot spring resort or hotel that you can choose from to enjoy a hotspring session, and you can also choose between private pool and public pool, but please be noted that mostly all the public pool require you to be NAKED *blushes*

Ok la I am super shy to flaunt my body to random people so I chose private pool straight without thinking much. Hotel wise, we stop by this 热海饭店 randomly after walking pass a few other resorts. Well I would love to try out the other more fancy looking ones, but since we stopped so no harm to try out la. Their pricing is very cheap, which is NT600 for a room, which contains a tub, a sofa bed, fresh towels, and mineral water. And oh, there's a time limitation of 2 hours too! (We asked a few resorts before this, and their pricing range is around NT1600++ per room which comes with big bed and better design according to the picture they shown lol.)

Oh, please remember that you should take a break from soaking in the hotspring for every 15 minutes, and do not stay in the hotspring for more than an hour in total, else you gonna faint. Also, do not go for hotspring when you are drunk, empty stomach or right after a meal.

The hotspring in XXX hotel is medium sulphuric, so the colour of the water is slightly milky with some light sulphuric scent. And we mix the hotspring water with cold water to not cook ourself lol. Yea the advantage of having a private pool is you can control the temperature, and of course wear anything you want (or be naked without feeling shy).

Not my feet.

This kind of milky white quality hotspring is named as 美人汤 Beauty Spring as it benefits our skin the best. I actually feel that I have smoother and more radiant skin after the hotspring session :O

After enjoying the hotspring, we walked around in the business areas and got ourself Mois Burger.

I went into the pet shop beside Mois Burger to get some souvenir for my cat Mimi and poodle Bobo, but these folks are just too cute to be ignored!
Curly hair guinea pig wtf

HOMG I want to bring it home so badly!!

Da Dao Cheng

This is a damn random place. Literally we don't know why we went there lol. According to the travel brochure there's a cycling trail, which is true, but that's all about it. Nothing great at all and we didn't see much people there. Its like a random riverside by the highway which cycling trail is built. We didn't see any bicycle renting service too.

No picture at all, cause it's not worth to be visited lol.

Taipei Main Station

What? A train station? Yes, it is. But it is a very interesting one. There's a lot of souvenir shops that sells cute accessories and local treats which are pretty famous.

If you want to get some good Pineapple Tarts and Sun Biscuits, I recommend you to Li Yi Biscuit Shop 李仪饼店 which is very famous among the locals and hongkies. I bought 10 boxes of their biscuit, and I am so regret that I didn't buy more after coming back to Msia. It's too damn good.

Xi Men Ding

I will say Xi Men Ding is really like the best place to be in if you want a happening night. There's lotsa good food, clothing shops, cinema, pubs, hot hunks and hot chics there at Xi Men Ding. Some of the famous food there are like Hotstar Chicken Chop, Ah Zhong Oyster Meesua, MangoChaCha, etc but I do find the street food are amazingly tasty.

Oh the legendary 3 storeys Watsons.
Opening 24 hours so I only go there in the midnight to avoid the crowd.

There's a few cinema in XiMenDing, and the ticket price there is actually pricier than back here in Msia.

I will further introduce about GOOD FOOD I discovered in Taipei in my next post, so stay tuned!

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. I admit that I am such a big piece of lazy lard and I spent most of my time getting back some rest cause I don't know why I felt so lethargic recently *sighs*

Oh well, miss fatty lard decided to wake up and get back to work again!

Lets kick start my new wave of posts with a short update of #chlofit !

White sheer shoulder top | H&M
High Waist Denim | Kitschen
New Balance Inspired Sneakers | Happy2u.cc
Transparent Letter Clutch | Happy2u.cc

As a petite girl, I always have big problems with sheer shoulder tops cause most of them doesn't ONLY show my shoulder, but also my whole bra or at least half of it lol. Thank you H&M for being so considerate and provide a perfect fitting XS size for me muahahaha so now I get to enjoy the sexiness of sheer top. Pairing the top with my all time favourite High Waist Denim that I wear at least 2 times a week, and complement the look with the transparent letter clutch. Transparent material and metal details are trending right now, so if you already have a transparent bag previously, just pop in some of your metal accessories in the bag to make it look fashionable again! The highlight of this outfit is definitely the colourful sneakers, which gives it a lively vibe that suits my summer style!

Woops sun-burned patch *sobs*

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And oh, don't miss out my latest hair colour! Thanks Hikky-san and Junior Shim for the urgent rescue right before my FHM Girl Next Door Finale 2014 Party! I just happen to be very disgusted by my faded, yellowish lala hair so I gave them an urgent call to save my life! Phew and guess what, I got my hair dyed, washed, and styled in an hour! *applause* And thanks Chiakisabata-san for his help too!

Sticking back with ash tones, presenting you"Healthy Ash". Its a grey based ash colour, which makes my skin tone looks less dull, and since it is a darker tone now it makes my hair looks healthier too! (In real life it looks more greyish just my camera decided to make it look pinkish )

Number76 Mont Kiara is having 50% off for hairset service, so do pay them a visit to style you up like a star! Promotion ends on 30th of September.

My Taipei Trip [Part 3- FOOD.FOOD.FOOD]

$

0

Ohhh Yes. Taipei trip is all about FOOD.

I can't count how many meals we ate everyday. Or to put it this way: we snacked all the way.

The key point to enjoy all kind of food without feeling like a bloated goldfish is to SHARE. Don't order the same thing together, but to order different dishes to share. Well if you found something that you really really like it you can of course order a full portion for yourself again lah.

Lets start the process of reminiscing these food that went into my tummy. *evil smiles*

滷肉飯 (Lu Rou Fan)
Braised Minced Pork Rice

This is our first meal in Taiwan, at 12am in the midnight as we took an evening flight. I felt so grateful that there's actually quite a number of food stalls still serving hot food in the midnight in Taipei, so culturally speaking its like our mamak culture la, but in Chinese food oh yeah! Healthier than mamak food I guess?

Braised minced pork rice is like the most basic street food/light meal for Taiwanese, and it is like 50% of the traditional roadside shops have this on their menu. It doesn't have a fancy look, but the aroma of the long hour braised pork and rice will definitely satisfy your taste bud, and you will crave for more after the first bowl. We had this in a shop at Xi Men Ding (forgot what's the name), which we just decided to sit in as we see there's quite a number of customers.

Food hunting rule 101: Eat where the locals eat.

One of my daily night activity in Taipei is to get snacks from 7-Eleven.

Oh My God their 7-Eleven is so much better than what we have here in Malaysia. So much more varieties and I love the fancy packaging of Taiwanese products. Oh we went there in Summer, and seems like the Hokkaido soft-serve cone of 7-Eleven is very popular among the locals! I tried it, and it taste like a very creamy version of Mcd sundae cone heh.

Move on to the breakfast.

All these are stalls in XiMenDing. FYI, Taiwan's shop have a weird habit, where they all open at different time. When we woke up at 10am, hoping that we can see a lively XiMenDing, we ended up looking at closed shops. Only 10% of the shop will open in the morning, where most of them open around 11am-12pm, and some of the clothing outlets opens at 2pm omfg.

葱抓饼 (Cong Zhua Bing)
Spring Onion Biscuit

Well, it's more like a Taiwanese version of Roti Canai, just without the flipping part. You can choose from various flavours such as curry, meat floss, bacon, tuna etc, but we went for the original plain one. NT25 for one, slightly pricier than roti canai lol.

The uncle is super nice and he keep telling us that he is selling at the cheapest price in comparison with the other stalls. Well, that's quite true cause the others are selling at NT30 from what we've seen.

Looks like roti canai with spring onion lol

煎饺 (Jian Jiao)
Fried Dumplings

Another basic Taiwanese breakfast. It is super duper cheap in comparison with the prices back here in Malaysia. NT50 (around RM5) for 14 pieces?? This is crazy man.

The dumplings taste like dumplings, nothing really special about it but it is definitely tasty la. A wholesome and comfort food choice to start up a day.

Woo...see the queue for this 老天禄 (Lao Tian Lu) shop. They sell intestines, duck necks, eggs and stuffs, ALL BRAISED. Lotsa tourist are queuing up when we reach there, and most of them are from Hong Kong.
Lao Tian Lu is an old shop with more than 100 years of history, so they have quite some reputation built la.

I bought braised egg, tofu and seaweed. Never a fan of any meat parts : I

I think this is a bit over rated, as it doesn't give me any WOW when I taste it, and in fact, it is too salty to my liking. The biggest problem is it is not hot, it just taste like not fresh dish to me la. I probably would have enjoyed it if they provide heating up service.

A must try bubble tea brand in Taiwan. Well of course, I don't drink Chatime in Taiwan and apparently this is the drink that singer AMei got addicted to and it costs her 10kgs extra weight for this lol. Tips of ordering drinks in Taiwan: Remember to tell them "Half Sugar" to reduce the sugar level. Their normal sweetness is insanely sweet.

How does ShiLin Night Market Looks Like?

Like this.
Very dedicated tourist spot.

Locals don't even go there to shop anymore, just like how we Malaysians don't go to Petaling Street. But still, since I am a tourist in Taiwan, so ok lah I went there just for the sake to know how it really looks like. No doubt, there's still good food in Shilin Night Market.

青蛙下蛋 (Qing Wa Xia Dan)
Frog Laying Eggs wtf?

It's actually drinks with black pearls that we usually seen in bubble milk tea la. Quite a refreshing drink. I ordered a Lemon Jelly Aiyu with the pearls.

Shilin Night Market have a dedicated underground food street.

棺材板 (Guan Cai Ban)
Coffin Toast (weird direct translation again wtf)

Process of making

Basically its a toast, stuff with all kind of ingredients that you never imagined before. Porridge, pineapple, chicken, cheese, lettuce, tuna, pork.....*faints*. BUT it doesn't taste weird at all, and in fact, very savory.

大腸麵線 (Da Chang Mian Xian)
Oyster Vermicelli

Another basic street snack you must try in Taiwan. Oyster, pork intestine and chicken floss is added in to the slimy, fragrant bowl of slow cooked vermicelli. Optionally, you can add in plum vinegar for a more mouth-watering experience. The biggest different between the oyster meesua served there and here in Malaysia is the pork intestine, and also their plum vinegar which have super fruity fragrance and mildly sour.

 生炒花枝 (Sheng Chao Hua Zhi)
Squid stew

My favourite Taiwanese dish. I mean, look at the HUGE squid man, if this dish is served in Malaysia its gonna cost a bag of rice! But it only cost around NT50 (RM5) in Taiwan omggg.

Owww see my face eat until so syok

小籠包 (Xiao Long Bao)
Soup Dumplings

Got it from the stall next to Oyster Vermicelli, and it tastes quite good too! Ok la to be honest, I didn't have ANY BAD EXPERIENCE on food throughout my journey. Big applause to the quality of Taiwan food!!

胡椒餅 (Hu Jiao Bing)
Pepper Pastry

There's a variety of stuffing you can choose from, which includes pork, chicken, peanut butter, cheese etc. The taste of pepper is very mild and not irritating, while keeping the fragrance of pepper.

炸牛奶 (Zha Niu Nai)
Fried MILK

I know right. When I saw the sign I was like "wtf? how to fry?" And here it is, a fish ball looking food. It is a sweet snack, slightly tangy and chewy, but the milk taste is not that strong though. And I find it too oily.

大腸包小腸 (Da Chang Bao Xiao Chang)
Glutinous Rice Sausage

Taiwanese sausage, gravy and lots of garlic is stuffed into the huge sausage looking like glutinous rice outer layer. Another classic street snack.

雞肉串 (Ji Rou Chuan)
BBQ Chicken

Damn cheap snack that only costs NT10, which is around RM1. Asparagus and spring onion in the center, and nicely barbecued to its perfection.

---------(That's all for Shilin.)--------

BBQ Squid with Roe

We randomly found this in a farmers' market, and this is like NT100, very acceptable price la since the squid is so gigantic. It is only seasoned with sea salt, and mustard is provided for extra kick.

公館夜市 GongGuan Night Market

蔬菜餅 (Shu Cai Bing)
Veggie Roll

This is not a total vegetarian snack though, eggs are added in the roll too. The sweetness of cabbage, richness of egg and fragrant of the fried skin are the best combination ever! A very satisfying light snack, or can be a meal for small appetite girl!

奶油餅 (Nai You Bing)
Custard Puff

Sorry for the over-exposed picture @.@ But trust me, this is really awesome to the heaven. They are more famous with the red bean puff, which went into our tummy before I remember to snap a picture of it. The soft and warm filling gushes into your mouth, with just nice sweetness and creaminess

Look, the insane queue! Dearie still so brave to snap picture with flash summore despite the big NO CAMERA sign behind lol. Luckily the boss is not some gangster hahaha.

This is a shop without any signboard or name, but it is very distinctive as you will see a LONG queue infront of the shop.

豆花 (Dou Hua)
Sweet Tofu Dessert

Another super long queue shop.

The tofu fa served is different from Malaysia too. They have crushed ice, lotus seeds and other ingredients included in the bowl, which provides the Tofu Fa different textures and more chewy, while enhancing the overall fragrant of the dessert too!

青蛙撞奶 (Qing Wa Zhuang Nai)
Frog knocks milkwtf hahaha

This is not pearl milk tea. The pearl they uses here are made with black sugar, which have high nutritional value especially to women. It is only Fresh Milk + Black Sugar Pearl, another simple combination that is madly good. My favourite drink in Taiwan.

I LOVE the queuing culture for good food in Taiwan. It just simply shows how much Taiwanese love their food, and also it has become an indicator for us to find good food.

Food Hunting Rule 102: Queue whenever you see a queue.

You can see this kind of stalls almost every 100m in XiMenDing after 10pm. They are selling 鹽水雞 Salted Chicken.

鹽水雞 (Yan Shui Ji)
Salted Chicken

Yup, it is like their version of rojak, made with salted chicken, tofu, veggies and even fruit of your choice. You can also customize your order with different seasoning too. I have no idea about what tastes the best, so I leave it to the boss to do his signature mix for us. What I got in my bag: Salted Chicken, Mini Corn, Pickled Papaya, Spring Onion, Braised Tofu and Broccoli.

Quite a nice and light supper option, and it feels wholesome too!

--------(Thats all for Gong Guan Night Market)-------

紅燒牛肉麵 (Hong Shao Niu Rou Mian)
Braised Beef Noodles

LOOK AT THE BIG CHUNKS OF MEAT. I feel like a T-Rex already. The noodles are chewy handmade Chinese Ramen, the soup broth is rich and the fragrant will leave long your mouth after every bite. A wholesome yet soothing comfort food.

The exterior of the Beef Noodle shop.
There's another famous shop right opposite this one, but unfortunately it's closed when we went there. They are located slightly outside of XiMenDing main shops.

炸花枝 (Zha Hua Zhi)
Deep Fried Squid

Again, I'm impressed by the huge squid that Taiwan always serve. It's not hard to find these big squid back in Malaysia, but not as a cheap street food. The squid is simply battered and seasoned with pepper and salt, another signature simple snack.

蛤蜊汤 (Ge Li Tang)
Clam Soup

My ULTIMATE comfort food in Taiwan. I still remember I ordered this on a night after a whole day walk, and I felt slightly sicky after stuffing all sorts of street food in myself. Believe it or not, this big bowl of clam soup filled with loads of clams, is only NT50! The fresh clams are perfectly cooked, not rubbery at all, and alcohol is added into the soup which provides a great kick.

仙人掌果汁
Cactus Juice

WOOPS. This is totally a terrible drink which I don't enjoy it. Urgh its made from cactus's fruit, and it tastes so "plant-y". I am not a veggie juice person so this really made me felt a bit sick lol.

Ended my precious Taipei trip with a buffet night. I must say that I am very impressed by the quality of meat that they provide for a NT600 (RM60) buffet meal! All great and fresh beef, pork, chicken, scallops, squid, fishes, crabs etc. Back in Malaysia I think we will get a lil bit of real meats, and loads of frozen fish balls and meat balls, They also serves Haagen Daz ice-cream as dessert! We are so kiasu so each of us whack 6 scoops of it to make sure that we ate more that 60 bucks worth lol.

Well, ended up feeling like a goldfish.

If you are curious, this buffet restaurant located in XiMenDing, and operates until 2am. So you can totally have a light dinner and then kill yourself with this midnight supper. Oh, 3 hours time limit.

SPECIAL RECIPE

Woots woots.
If you haven't read an article about mixing cup noodles and milk pudding, say hello to it now!

The Ingredients.

According to my read, specifically 统一布丁 is the key of success for this dish, as the other brand's pudding might not melt in the soup. Cup noodles wise, the original experiment was done with Bak Kut Teh flavour, but of course you can try out the other flavours, just that I'm not sure how it would taste later lol.

So pour all the seasoning, and also the pudding, and then boiling water.

It will look like this after 2 minutes, and you should stir it around until the pudding melts into the soup. Erm, forgot to take a picture after everything comes together, but well it just look like a milky soup base.

Main point: How does it taste?

Pretty good. It doesn't taste like Bak Kut Teh anymore, but a unique flavour instead. Slightly sweet, rich and creamy, with a little spiciness kick. It's hard to be described but it's definitely not as scary as you imagined it to be.

That's pretty all about my Taipei's food adventure. And I'm ending my post with this:

*smirks*

It's a cake. by the way. ;)

What I've Been Up To

Yeah here it comes again.

Fuggin no update for so many days.

I have to be honest, I am running out of my brain juice. I don't know what to write anymore, all the ideas that came through my mind seems to be so lame and so pointless to be posted up, and I keep on telling myself "Nevermind you will figure it out soon." and then you see, how many days passed by.

Being a blogger, to abandon your blog for more than 3 days is a very bad thing. Very very bad.

Your readers will start moving away, your blog stats will start to drop, and worst case scenario, all the effort that you've put in building up your reader base will turn into bubbles that pops away.

It's stressful.

I'm stressful not just because of not being able to sustain my readers, but also frustrated at myself for being so incapable. I'm such a piece of sh*t ohmaigod.

I need to end this stupid no blogging days. So ohai, I'm gonna do a short update about what I'm up to recently.

1.Gym Training
The payoff to take over the honour of being the Official MIMMA2 Ring Girl is I need to sweat and ache, ALOT. Thanks to Tune Talk, I'm now under some medium intensive training with Pushmore Fitness to build up some muscles and tone up my body before my official appearance at the Grand Final which will be on the 25th of October, in Stadium Negara. (So if you happen to be there or wanna be there to spot some muscles or me, please do come!!)

Back to the gym training part.

I am totally not a gym person before this, I mean, even if I do go to gym, all I do is just run on the treadmill like a hamster for 10 minutes, and then maybe pull the 'string machine' which I don't know what's the real name of it, and that's all. But in Pushmore, there's no treadmill, only tons of bells and muscle men. I mean really muscular MIMMA fighters (well most of them are).

My situation in the gym.

I actually do think that my trainer, Eric feels like he is training a hamster when he trains me, or maybe just a mice. Ok la I am the 38kg girl with two tiny arms trying to do some crunches with two 10lbs bell, and then shiver like my arms gonna break anytime soon lol. Well looking at the bright side, since I have only wee bit of fat, it's quite easy for me to tone up I guess? *trying to be positive here okayyyy*

2. Schoolwork
Ohhhh the school work is hectic. Currently I'm running around like a headless chicken seeking for sponsorship for a Staff Annual Dinner which is my coursework to organize one. Dozens of calls, emails, and negotiations are going on and *sighs* most of the people just hang up the phone when the moment I mention

" Hi, I am calling from Taylor's University and I am looking for sponsorship...*phone clicks*"

Oh well, I've never had such an experience before this as normally sponsors are either come to me and be quite nice to me, or they will just not find me lol. So this is quite interesting and I actually laugh out hard when people hang up.

I am not asking for donation yo, it's win-win business okayyyy

3. Having withdrawal syndrome from my cat

I used to keep my pet cat Mimi here with me at my rented place, but from this semester onward Mimi is staying back in my family home.

*sighs*

Staying back in my family home is actually a better decision for her overall happiness actually, as she can have bigger house to stroll around, stare at my hamster cage, and occasionally have some random chasing game with my poodle Bobo. And from her face (although she don't even smile), I can really see that she is more happy as she really seems much relaxed and contented staying there.

But me no happy cause no one teman me in the room.

Yes, she's sleeping.

I miss that fatty lump that bugs me whenever I try to do some serious work, sits on my laptop, step on my face when I'm asleep, meows at me every morning at 7am and then step on my bewbiess to wake me up, and sleep like a coma plant although she didn't do anything tiring throughout the day.

Where she sits whenever I'm doing my work

I guess this is my first lesson of "If you love him, you let him live a happy life". *sobs* Although I need to suffer from withdrawal syndrome, but I felt a different level of happiness when I saw Mimi happily bouncing around my house in the weekend. It's a mixture of relieved, love and thankful. Thank god that my poodle, cat and hamsters are all still healthy without injuries from fight lol.

4. I uploaded a Beauty Review Video, in Mandarin

In case you haven't watch it, here you go!
Why doing it in Mandarin? Cause I actually think that Malaysia have not enough YouTuber that do review in Mandarin, and being a national Chinese debater and a beauty blogger, I need to start this! *ambitious* I will try to insert subtitles next time la since English will still come in handy for lots of people. :)

Remember to subscribe my channel to follow my updates!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's such an awesome feeling to do a simple post just like this. Thinking too much and restricting myself to post only perfect blog post is stretching me too thin, I should come back typing freely, and telling my hearts out. This should be my land to blah around, not to do some epic legendary educational speech!

Thank you for coming back to read my blahs! I lub lub lub lub lub you guys till heaven and earth.

Some Friends Are Just not 'FRIENDS"

$

I believe that everyone of you have met a person who talks bad about their friends, aka The Backstabber.
Oh, I've met a lot of these, especially in my line of work ;)

So here's my story:

I've met someone that talks bad about their BEST friend, (and I happen to know that best friend of her). She told me that this best friend of her has been sleeping around with these guys (which I happen to know who they are too), and then how she don't care of sleeping with guys with girlfriends as well blah blah blah.

This is a serious bad thing as this can totally cause a girl to lose her opportunity in our line.

And from what I knew, this girl being talked bad is always such a sweet and innocent girl that treats this b*tch so well, bringing her around and even provided her some modeling opportunities. So I have no idea what makes this b*tch decided to backstab her 'best friend'. Maybe it's because she is not happy that her friend is doing better in the modeling industry, or maybe it is just her real colour being a b*tch. Numerous stories lah I've heard from her, all damn spicy and too funky to be true.

She even sent me text that talk bad about my friend that is sitting just right beside me that time. Perhaps trying to make us into enemy so that she can get her way through both of us that she view as her strongest competitor lol. Yea, I actually accidentally saw that she is acting very sweet behind my back with that person I sat beside with. Damn multiple-faced weh. #saluteyou

So I just decided to stay away from these people that talks bad about their friends for nothing.

Lesson of the Day:

If they can talk bad about their other good friends, it means that they CAN talk bad about you too.

Stay away from those who talk bad about their friends. Your story might already been widely spread at the other side of her social circle. Don't be the material for her new stories. :)

Remember, true friends stay besides you when problems come. Bitches will just ditch you and give you some additional stabs.

Phew, I hope that there's no stupid stories about me running around. Oh well, maybe she have already spread numerous of it.

FHM Girl Next Door 2014

$

Owhh this is a super duper overdue post.

FHM Girl Next Door 2014 grand finale has long past and I just realized that I haven't post about it yet! #nyanyuksial

Oh well, lets treat this as a recall for all my memories throughout this fun search!

I've never labeled myself as the sexy type of girl, nor imagined myself being featured in FHM magazine, which is totally a male magazine with all the hot chicks.

But I made it wtf.

To be honest, I joined this search just because of a bet with my friends, (and secretly trying to see whether I am really that not-sexy la), and I already super duper shock when I actually passed the first round, and then when I am told that I am qualified as the Top 8, the first thing I said to dearie was:

"Dear, don't bully me. I am FHM Girl Next Door okayy many man want me."

Cause I have been told too many times that I act like a little girl, and how much he feel like a pedophile dating me. So I MUST fight back la.

But deep down in my heart, I am still feeling unbelievable.

Its a mixture of happiness and sad. I am happy that I finally 'grown up' to be perceived as a woman, but does that mean that I have lost my cutesy kiddo style that allowed me to be featured on all those Japanese fashion magazine?

Truth: NO.

Hello kiddo.

Printed version.

More raw shots:

Not as sexy as I imagined to be. To be honest, one of my biggest concern of joining FHM Girl Next Door is the outfit. I am still to shy to do a lingerie shoot or a bikini shoot, it is just not my thing la. But ola, our first studio shoot is a cheerleader themed shoot! Super comfortable in it, and at the same time I am slightly worried for FHM, "Will it be too not-sexy for their content?"

But then the second bomb came.

MUSIC VIDEO SHOOT with Ean and Jin.
Wearing BIKINI.

What!? Initially I went nuts and I almost throw a grenade to FHM office. They actually promised me that I will not be doing lingerie or bikini shoot before I confirmed to join in the Top 8, but see, it happened.

In the end I managed to convince myself to do it. Bikini is nothing big mah everyone is wearing it in the swimming pool.

So I chose a monokini, which makes it easier to convince myself since it is not a bikini that I am afraid of. Come to think about it now, it's actually not much different la but hey I love this monokini much more than any other bikini designs provided. Super chio.

While I am finally comfortably settled down for the MV shooting, another nuclear bomb strike:

I have to jump into the pool.

Oh if you have not know, I have aqua-phobia. The level of phobia? I can't spray my face with the shower head, nor even dip my face into the pool. Lucky enough, I attended 2 sessions of swimming lessons before the shoot with EJ from SwimIn12 (which I joined to overcome my aquaphobia even before knowing that I will have the mv shooting), which makes me at least can DIP my face and head into the water.

BUT NOT DOING A CANYON BALL WITH PRETTY SMILE WHILE HOLDING A GO-PRO.

I am super proud to say that I still did the canyon ball jump. TWICE.
#beingprofessional

Canyon ball jump got la, but pretty smile? That one I don't know. I tried my best to smile when doing the scary jump already la.

As you can see, I didn't show much in the video except 'humping the whale' and shake like an dumb bimbo lol. Where are my other scenes? Only the director knows ;(

The mv shooting went pretty well, I definitely had lotsa fun dipping in the salt treatment pool at Aloft, and got teased by Ean and Jin saying that I look like a little duckling walking in the pool toe-tipping, too afraid to wet my long long wavy hair.

And what's next?
I went on-air with Hitz.fm morning crew!

Me, Wendy and Lisa paid a visit to Hitz.fm studio, and had a sweet chat with Ean and Jin! Oh I've never expected myself to go on-air in a English station before a Mandarin station lol due to my chinese debate background. But hey, it went pretty well!

My next meet up with the Hitz.fm peoples are at RevKan Padang by Revive Isotonic. This time, being the hot cheerleader for all-star-team.

Who's the biggest star in the All Star Team?
Teddy Sheringham! Former legend of Manchester United OMG!
Blame the bad picture quality to Rafie's (FHM web editor) phone ;P

Being someone who doesn't really watch football, I feel quite lucky to be able to meet him in person and even sit beside him hahaha. Man-U fans gonna hate me.

Spot me!

It was just a simple work to cheer at the All Star Team members since they are all so 'yeng zai', and thank god for not giving us super hot sun or else I am now turned into a charcoal.

FINALE NIGHT
So the competition comes to its end. A glorious fun one.

We had our party at Soju Pavillion. Seeing so many people joined the party is seriously a big relief for me that time but come back to think about it, of course they will come! So many hot girls is attending so why not jek?

No pictures of the party. Cause I am too busy walking around, and ahem the lighting is too dim lol.

*sighs*
Oh well, I didn't win. (Which means I am still a CUTE KIDDO oh yeahhhh!!)
But I am given a new task: MIMMA2 Official Ring Girl

whut!?
So this is where my gym training life starts.

How to make Japanese Salad Dressing

$
0
0

I am always into eating clean. (Oh well, kinda.) But one big issue is bugging me since forever: I don't eat raw veggies.

Veggies is totally likable to be whenever it is well cooked. But eating raw veggies? It just makes me feel like a cow who is chomping down tons of grass. So I am NEVER a fan of salad.

But recently I found an exceptional solution.

It all started from my friend's order in Sushi Zenmai. She ordered a crab salad and I was like "Who order salad in a sushi restaurant?" But still, I tried out a bite.

SUPER TASTY.

Since all salad have similar veggie combination, so it must be the dressing that matters then! I swore on the spot that I must try to replicate the Japanese Salad Dressing so that I can start eating salad even at home.

Enough for the old nanny story, lets see how I nailed it! *proudly speaking*

1. Prepare your veggies and meat
My Combination
Butterhead Lettuce
 Sliced Tomatoes
Baby Carrots
Hard Boiled Eggs

Tuna in Water
Shredded Crabsticks

2. Make the dressing sauce

Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Pure Sesame Oil
Kewpie Mayonnaise
Apple Cider Vinegar

I chose Kewpie cause it is a Japanese brand so hopefully it tastes more Japan-ish? But obviously you are free to choose any brand of mayonnaise la. But for the vinegar part, try to avoid artificial vinegar that will leave a stinging sensation in your throat, and go for natural vinegar such as apple cider vinegar, brown rice vinegar etc.

My Recipe
Extra Virgin Olive Oil - 1/2 tbsp
Pure Sesame Oil  - 1/2 tbsp
Kewpie Mayonnaise - I just squeeze until I am happy lol
Apple Cider Vinegar - 1 tbsp

Steps:
Olive Oil→ Sesame Oil →Mayonnaise→ Stir →Apple Cider Vinegar→ StirDONE

TADAAAAA

I love this dressing from Mars back to Earth! The sesame oil actually vanishes the "grassy" smell of raw veggies, making the dish super mouth watering. If you hate raw veggies like me, try to add more tuna or any meat in your salad! I added almost a whole can of tuna in this bowl of salad lol. This dressing might not be the healthiest dressing in the world, but oh well, at least I CAN eat salad now and I'm lovin it! (oh Mcd time)

No pretty girl selfie with the salad?

Of course not. I did this at my home kitchen with my face looking like a rat.

OH COME ON WHO DOES HER MAKE UP TO COOK.

Want pretty picture go my instagram for now okay *heeeeeee*  Enjoy your salad!

A pleasant noon in PULP cafe, Bangsar

FINALLY, I have the chance to pay a visit to PULP, after seeing tons of its great pictures online.

Let's start with describing how my DREAM cafe shall look like: Glass Walls, Wooden furniture but not those dark tones one, Spacious, Quiet, Great Daylight, with of course, a great selection of coffee.

PULP has it all. *dazed*

Main Area

Coffee station

The most interesting big piece in the house I would say.
It adds a dash of vintage tone to the whole cafe.

They also have a dedicated space that sells pretty coffee accessories and gadgets. But the price lol quite pricey.

Corner where you can sniff all different kinds of coffee beans.

And then buy some home perhaps?

I ordered a cup of latte, and a chocolate truffle cake which is recommended by the pretty barrister.

The latte is light and heartwarming like how I want it to be, with a slightly fruity aroma and sweet tone. Although I still added some brown sugar in later on, as I am still not reaching the level to appreciate coffee without sugar yet la lol. Price range wise, it is like normal cafe price so normal until I forgot how much it is already lol.

Super got feel right this picture.

Deco up my friend's bear which he got it from Daiso apparently.
*SHOOOOO CUTEEEE*

Overall, I love the atmosphere of PULP to every bits of it. I can foresee myself visiting them more in the future, to do some work or chill with comfortable friends of mine.

I rate them 98%, the 2% is for not having a toilet in the cafe itself heh.

Me and Adam had a mini photoshoot in the cafe! Not impromptu one la of course its planned or else where got people wear winter clothing everywhere haha.

等一個人咖啡
My version lololol

Super got feel right!

I can't wait to see more photo outcome by him, the super talented Adam Tai who always take damn good shots of me one. Seriously too pro,

OLDTOWN White Curry Series

#FoodieBook time!
How many of you heard about My Kuali White Curry Noodle before? *raise hands*
If you never, you shuck yo.

My Kuali White Curry Noodle is rated as the Top Ten Instant Noodle by Ramenrater.

Of couse, I’ve tried this superstar instant noodle at the very start of the hype! Remember how popular it was until all the supermarket runs out of stock? (Oh well, now at least there are stocks in supermarkets already.)

How does this related to this post’s title then?

OLDTOWN is serving My Kuali White Curry Noodle now! Oh to make it more accurate,

OLDTOWN is collaborating with My Kuali for their latest menu!

No they are not cooking My Kuali Instant Noodle for you. =.= (That was my first thought when I heard about their collaboration though wtf) OLDTOWN will be combining their own soup base with My Kuali White Curry Paste, to create a brand new level of tasty White Curry.

OLDTOWN White Curry series feature 5 different kinds of noodles, which includes Meehoon, Mee, Horfun, PAN MEE and MACARONI!!

I capslock PAN MEE and MACARONI cause these two are my favourites yo.

White Curry Macaroni
Well it’s a super known fact that I am a lazy bump, so lazy until I don’t feel like holding chopsticks to eat. The White Curry Macaroni, I can just scoop it with my spoon, one mouthful follows by another! So I can press my phone with another hand while I’m eating now lol.

White Curry Pan Mee
How about the White Curry Pan Mee? Super tasty. Frankly speaking I am not a big fan of yellow noodle, so replacing it with our Chinese traditional pan mee is like the improvised version for my cina tastebud. The texture of the Pan Mee is not too hard or too soggy, and it compliment the creaminess of White Curry Soup Base so damn well!

Vain Selfie #1
The super famous My Kuali’s white curry paste + OLDTOWN’s very own soup base = Awesomeness

Vain selfie #2
#Fact: OLDTOWN makes fresh noodles and deliver to all their branches everyday

Rose among the thorns: Peanut White Freezy

This is their new beverage options that comes with the White Curry Series menu. It tastes like… frozen fa sang hu (Chinese peanut dessert)? It has a really rich aroma of peanut, which I think nuts lover will really enjoy it. By adding a scoop of Vanilla ice-cream on top, the freezy overall have a richer texture which makes it more enjoyable.

Vain Selfie #3

Menu and Prices

Overall, I like this collaboration between OLDTOWN and MyKuali. I am not a big fan of curry, but I find this new menu of theirs suit my liking.
I rate it 8 over 10 marks. (So you can safely go try la)

Oh do take note that the White Curry Series is a limited time menu, so it will only be available from 17th November 2014 until 31st January 2015! So go try it out before it’s off the menu!

Nothing. Just want to end my post with another selfie in case you will miss me heh.

Ohai!
I've just decided on something (like 5 secs ago), lets establish this new habit of #MovieThursday here!

Since here's a place for me to share about things I love, and YouTube has really becoming a big part of my life recently (as in surfing good videos la), so I am really excited to share some videos that I found worth sharing with all of you!

And so that I got more things to blog about lol.

Since this is the FIRST session, lets start with some videos that I always loved!

1. Night Owl Cinematics - You Got Scammed #Criminalwatch

NOC is a Singaporean Youtube Channel that's rapidly growing recently, and I LOVE this video of them! Very de creative and interesting as they can convey such an important message in a musical way. And I like the editing effort <3

2. The Ming Thing - Let Me Sleep
I just wonder how many takes it took them to get this shot hahaha dayumm. Sometimes simple videos like this is a great healing dose for me before I sleep. Erm okay not this one cuz I laughed like mad for it.

By the way, I am the friend that talk talk talk talk talk before sleep heh. :P

3. Megan Nicole & Jason Chen - All about the bass
Basically the combo of Megan Nicole and Jason Chen is like sweet voice plus sweet voice equal to volcano sweet. I actually love their cover better than the original one heh cuz I like sweet voice yo.

4. Wang Rong - Xiao Ji Xiao Ji
Very hard to explain. Just. Must. Watch.

Too funny right hahahahahahahha
Okay sorry for letting you watch this.

5. AKMU- Give Love
Okay some serious good music now. This pair of siblings I would say they really changed the perception of KPOP groups must have pretty face and crazy body, and proven that talent is the real deal to get famous. Instead of super strong vocal, I actually enjoy all refreshing and clean musics <3

6. Jinnyboy TV- Kantoi
Ok now is my vain time.

So that's all for our first #MovieThursday!
See you next week! *prays that I remember*

Ok I will remember about it okay :P

Well I guess most of the girls love apple cider due to its bubbly sweetness.
Being not a strong alcoholic fan, I LOVE cider. (ok lah any sweet and bubbly ones also) I don’t really understand about distilled liqours, cause they all just taste like…erm the alcohol nurses use to sanitize before injection.
So Strongbow has made my life happier with its launch of 3 new flavors Apple Cider!
Yup. Apple cider also got different flavors one :O

A happy girl with her treat after 2 days of assignment hard work heh.

The three new flavors introduced by Strongbow are Gold, Honey and Elderflower. ALL MADE FROM REAL APPLES.

Apple Ciders Gold
Tastes like a stronger version of normal apple cider, a good option for those who wants some extra kick!

Apple Ciders HONEY

This is my favorite pick. I LOVE how the honey gives the cider a touch of sweetness, making the apple cider more light and refreshing! I l can officially say I found my best cider option yo. Ok lah totally a girly drink heh.

Apple Ciders Elderflower
Has a mild floral aroma with it, alongside with a slight hit of lime zest. And it seems like getting tons of likings from the other girls! Not really my dish as I am not a fan of edible floral product, but hey,
do give it a try and probably you will like it!

People queuing up to get their Apple Cider Gold

Each flavor has its own respective area during the night). But hey nvm this is like the prettiest one with all the white flower deco and pretty girls yo.

Mandatory Selfie with the bottle

Oh by the way, apparently the best way to serve Strongbow Cider:
1.       Chill the bottle at around 3-4°C
2.       Fill a Strongbow glass with 1/3 of ice cubes
3.       Take a chilled bottle of Strongbow and pour over ice

4.       Bon appetite!

These 3 new variants of Strongbow will be available from early December 2014, and I can’t wait for it already! But okay la in time for Christmas and New Year yo!

So, I've recently uploaded a new video on my YouTube channel, and I received quite some feedback saying that they are shocked by my loco-ness.

Oh well, actually, I AM THAT CRAZY.

Despite of my job as a model, I am seriously not that kind of girl that just stay pretty, talk softly, and walk elegantly lol. Most of the time, I just sit with my legs wide open like a macho boss (and get scolded by everyone later =.=).

So ini, aiya nothing la. I can go much beyond this weh. But slowly la, step by step or else I scared you all got shock too much and don't like me anymore T.T

WATCH it, SHARE it and LIKE it can? :3
(and subscribe also la hehe)

Then only I have more motivation to do more stupid stuff to entertain you ma.

[Movie Thursday] Awesome Taiwan Movies #1

This week, lets explore beyond the language boundaries, and enjoy some really really good Taiwanese movie!

I am always a 200% Taiwan movie fan. (Not those 1000 episodes hokkien drama kay) I love the way they design the movie, the tone and colours, and their dialogues. Especially these few ones that I am recommending, I cried and laugh for them like a nut.

I tried my best to find the links with english subtitles, just so that in case for you guys who are not really fluent in Mandarin can also enjoy em.

Find some time and watch all of them please. If not I will be super duper sad okay.

爱 LOVE

This was shown in Malaysia's cinema around last year if not mistaken. I LOVE THIS ONE. I cried at the part where the rich businessman 钮承泽 read his letter to Shu Qi 舒淇. Nobody died or no big emotions are shown there, but that letter is like an espresso of all his guilt, love and understanding to her. Oh btw, that dude is the director of this film.

听说 Hear Me

This film is dedicated to the hearing loss community, and also to let us understand that speaking is not a threat in love. The whole movie doesn't contains much spoken conversation, but you 100% can understand it no worries cause they have captions la. I really love the effort these actors paid to learn sign language for this movie, and it just show how good their acting skills are to be able to tell the whole story without speaking.

闺蜜 Girls

Ohhh this is the recent bomb. Super duper girly story. 闺蜜 is how female call their best friends, like the super duper good one okay not the hey babe kind, and this movie is about the story of three good friends who grow up together and how they went through all sorts of funky situations. Seriously, if you have someone that sticks with you no matter what happens, that is the right one. Especially girls, I know that most of our female friends will turn into bitches that stab one day lol experiences said it all.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you watched all three of them, you will notice that Ivy Chen (陈意涵) is in ALL of them lol. And erm, she is my favourite Taiwanese actress. Why? Oh come on watch all these 3 movies again, and if you still don't like her, and you for sure got problem.

I didn't write long description or reviews for all my recommendations, cause I want YOU to watch and understand it yourself. All got english subtitles har, and YouTube load very fast, and it is free. So please, watch em.

Till the next time that I remembers to post a Movie Thursday (wtf), enjoy your movies!

Still having headache for a Christmas/ New Year present?

Oh here you are, reading the right post yo!

Did my recent mini editorial shoot featuring KLASSE14, a newly established watch brand that collaborates with talented designers or personalities to produce unique time pieces.

My pick from KLASSE14- Volare Black

I love the crooked watch hand design, which apparently symbolizes wings in flight, and the conic shape dial that reflects light in all directions. So basically it looks like a plain design that shines from far, and when people are attracted to come and take a closer look, they will be awed by the unique watch hand design. 低调中的高调 (High profile in a low profile way) hahahah.

Black watches normally gives a a formal vibe, but I matched it with some cutesy outfit to have some unexpected FUN twist!

Who says cutesy outfit cannot match with formal watch?

Besides Volare Black, KLASSE14 have lots of other interesting choices too! Here are some of the other watches that I find em really attractive!

So OHHSOME Fest, (Ohh Social Media Festival) is actually organized by Hotlink, to celebrate to glory of us scrolling through FB Instagram all the time lol. It is a 2 days event, with tons of talks by online personas, a main highlight concert stage and bazaar.

Originally planned to support my long lost brother Ernest for his speech but grrrrr clashed with my paper so I just went to the OHHSOME stage to have some music and party! (Erm nope no alcohol one okay not a rave)

It’s SKYWARDS (TheMingThing) getting ready to rock the stage when I reached.
Yes just in time to support them <3

MiHan got tons of weird expression I don’t know why he just can’t let me take a lengzai shot.

TMT as my background *teehee*

Beside the stage there’s bungee jump or whatever you call it.
Been deciding whether to try it out and it took me whole night :3

Gigantic bubble fun!

Next up, Joyce Chu!

Finale:
Selfie Kings vs Fan Service
And everyone is busy taking pictures on stage #glorysocialmedia

{Foodie Book} Front Door Cafe, the hidden gem in KL

Thanks to the rising of 'Cafe Hype', now it is damn hard to find a good and quiet cafe to chill. Seriously, a great cafe to me must have these components: Relaxing environment, Good Food, Good coffee.

So dearie discovered Front Door Cafe online, and we decided to give it a try.

Front Door Cafe is located right outside Petaling Street, that major tourist spot in KL where we locals don't usually visit lol. Quite an interesting location I would say, as the rental there is should be quite $$$$$$$.

Find this building and you are at the right place.

The TINY sign

Interior of the cafe

The lighting is dim but comfortable, and the atmosphere is quiet, relaxing and comfortable, like how a proper cafe should be :3 I really really don't like the feeling of having to rush finish my food to give seat for the crowd, so this really set me in the right mood for a zen Sunday morning/noon.

Got a pretty corridor too <3

They serve Tapping Tapir here too at RM9 per bottle!
(I once saw its sold at RM13 at another cafe)

Their menu basically consists of the basic pastas and breakfasts, and also toast with wide array of toppings. Per slice of toast is RM6, and 5 slices of toasts is RM25. Slightly on the pricey side, but still normal for the rising prices of cafes. =.=

Order Of the Day:

Big Breakfast (RM22)
The sausage is awesome, and I am very very happy with the generous amount of cream cheese served with the toast. Cherry tomatoes are fine, and the beef bacon is good since its bacon lol. However, the scrambled egg is WAY too salty, and I can literally feel the salt when I bite in. I am offered for a new scrambled egg after I reflected the problem to the waiter, but when the new egg came, its still slightly on the salty side but still edible la. And I also found that there's too much pepper in the stir fried mushroom. I think you can just tell them LESS salt and pepper next time la haha.

Toast (RM25 for 5)
From Left:
Beef Bacon,Lettuce, Cheddar, Cherry Tomato
Fried Egg, Cream Cheese, Avocado
Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese, Cucumber Ribbon, Capers
Beef Pepperoni, Pizza Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese, Fresh Basil

All tastes good, right balance of the ingredients, the flavors are awesome. But I would be happier if that salmon tastes less fishy, perhaps its not fresh enough? I don't know since I am not an expert on it.

Tapping Tapir (RM9)

Ordered soda instead of coffee cause just don't feel like a coffee day heh. I like the Hibiscus and Lime more, tastes like the ribena soda but less sweet version. The flower smell is not strong at all thank god cause I don't drink floral-ish taste beverage as it feels like drinking perfume for me.

Overall: 6.5/10
Its still a pleasant experience there with the silent atmosphere, and I am still amazed by the fact that such a zen place is located just right outside the noisiest district of KL, Petaling Street. Probably will go back again to check out more food and their salty-ness, also to enjoy that quiet environment.
